🌙Pre-game Companions

Name Type Summary
Elwyn Ex-lover They used to date around 1440 DR, when Elwyn was first sent to the Grove as a late teen-young adult. Her lone self got along well with Vesper’s, and like two wolves, they used to wander around for their dates. Vesper lied a lot about her interest and slowly the couple fell apart, but their friendship and respect remained.
Rath Mentor Despite Rath being much younger than Vesper, he taught her a lot. Things she couldn’t learn in books or via Halsin.
Marcoryl Rival Vesper hates Marcoryl’s guts since not only their opinions differs a lot, but he thinks he’s always right. There’s no room for self-questioning and she’s too tired to talk to him. They avoid each other, giving dead stares if they’re forced to stay in the same room.
Apikusis Close friend She could be considered as Vesper’s best friend pre-BG3 events. When they were young, Kagha, Vesper and Apikusis were a close trio, but regular disagreements with Kagha separated them. Apikusis stayed by Vesper’s side.
Maggran Rival She never got along Maggran, but respected him enough to let him do whatever he wanted, as long as it didn’t hurt others. When Vesper saw he sided with Kagha’s, that respect died.
Karrik Friend Elwyn’s current lover. The three of them get along pretty well.
Kagha Rival/Friend Kagha used to be Vesper’s friend when they were both younger, but her point of view of the world was too different. They slowly became rivals, respecting each still, but not agreeing, ever. Vesper was still saddened to have killed Kagha, even if it was for the Grove’s safety.
Jeorna Student Vesper taught Jeorna since she was a kid. Jeorna respect and likes Vesper, that’s why she lets her see Kagha without problem.
Tahan Acquaintance To be frank, Vesper has been more and more reclusive in the last couple decades, since her dad passed away. She barely met Tahan who arrived in the grove about a decade before BG3 events. Tahan obviously followed Kagha, since she welcomed her to the Grove and taught her how to control her druidic powers.

🌙Game Companions

Name Type of relationship Heights (Headcanon) Summary
Lae’zel Best Friend 1m72 / 5’7” First very curious about githyankis, as Vesper had never met one in person, Lae’zel was like a subject to her. She apologized later for treating Lae’zel that way. The gith also said some rude remarks to Vesper, anyway. They put the matter to rest, and they both started to get along very well. They were a very powerful duo, relying on each other’s in the front line, having each other’s back in battle. Not without some abrassive remarks from time to time, of course, but they wouldn’t have it any other way. They helped each other reach their goals and stay alive another day.
[**Shadowheart Jenevelle Santos Hallowleaf**](https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Shadowheart) Sister-like 1m68 / 5’6”
Astarion Ancunìn Lover 1m77 / 5’9 She first found him dangerous, then funny, and finally, weirdly heart warming. When she found out about his vampiric thirst, she didn’t mind. As a druid, preys and predators are a common thing. There are needs that must be obliged, it’s Nature. She let him bite her, as she knew the others wouldn’t probably agree to do that, and she needed him to be strong. Both selfless and selfish, she provided him blood almost everyday for a while, to make sure she could save her grove in time with his help. But this situation grew as he slipped more and more bits of his past in their conversations, opening up. And she couldn’t help but to open up, too.
She accepted to sleep with him that one night because she desperately needed relief and comfort, although sex isn’t exactly her thing usually.
While is was a one side love for a while, Astarion confessed his feelings eventually, and she understood why he did this. In his situation, she would have probably done the same. That empathy between them made their chaos tip toward “good” instand of evil, most of the time. They helped each other achieve their vengeance and claim their freedom back, even it that meant Astarion remaining a spawn, and his momentary lack of sun sensitivity to vanish with their tadpoles.
They both continued their adventures together, travelling around the Forgotten Realms, until they decided to settle down when their daughter was born.
Gale Dekarios Friend 1m77 / 5’9 A fire and funny friend Vesper wasn’t expecting to ever meet. They shared countless books, and conversations about magic, knowledge, Gods
Questioning their very universe with poetry and wisdom. He made her laugh, and she made him mad, it was all fun and games. Until he took this friendship for more, thinking she loved him. Which she did, but not that way. Thankfully, he respected that decision, and they remained good travel friends.
Karlach Cliffgate Close Friend 1m83 / 6’0” Vesper immediately liked Karlach — who couldn’t? Her kindness, her rage, and everything in between. They shared jokes and foods around the campfire. Again, all she knew about the Nine Hells, infernal engines and even infernal iron came from books. Which was once again proven to be inaccurate, if she relied on Karlach. She thought to herself, that one day she’ll be writing books about their adventures and everything she’s learned. To make sure all books aren’t just tales or fake assumptions. Karlach became a close friend, a real confident, when Vesper needed it the most. She was heartbroken to let her leave to Avernus on her own, but she knew Wyll would take good care of their friend. Karlach wasn’t alone anymore. And one day, they shall meet again.
Wyll Ravengard Friend 1m80 / 5’10” It was a bit harder for Vesper to befriend Wyll, surprisingly. Her chaotic side didn’t exactly followed his lawfulness justice and their values were quite difference. But past this bad first impression, they became friends. They tried to teach each others tricks, magical or swordplay, but they truly bonded over fairy tales and books. She helped him free himself from Mizora’s wicked pact, and free his dad.
When Karlach had to leave for Avernus, he followed her.
[**Withers Jergal**](https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Withers) She forgot about him, ngl 1m75 / 5’8”
Halsin Family 2m05 / 6’9 When he first faced Ketheric Thorm and the curse of the Shadowlands occurred, many lives were lost. But some survived, miraculously under the rubble. Merle, Vesper’s father, was one of them. Halsin took him before leaving for the Grove, seing Thaniel’s light behind his eyes. He couldn’t abandon that young life to the shadows. Halsin has always seen more than the Archdruid of the Emerald Grove to Vesper. He was like a grandfather, or like she used to say “my second, older dad”. She was terrified to know someone as strong as him could have been in troubles with the goblins, and rushed to their hideout to free him in haste.
Then, they both travelled to her father’s homeland, understanding why Merle never brought the twins in this place before. She helped freeing these lands from the curse not only to help the people, but for her father.
She was surprised Halsin would accompany her to Baldur’s Gate, knowing how much he hates cities and always refused to go along with her when she was visiting Orion. But she was happy to have him by her side, relieved even.
After the Absolute fell, many children were left without guidance, and she knew he was the best person who could guide them, just like he guided Merle, and just like he guided her, too.
Minthara Baenre Enemy 1m61 / 5’3” Vesper barely talk to Minthara before judging she was a threat for the Grove and Halsin, killing her on sight.
Jaheira Family friend 1m75 / 5’9” Jaheira met Aurora and Merle a couple of times in the last decades, but never saw Vesper herself. It took her a moment to recognize them through her eyes, her hair, and her attitude. She didn’t know about Merle’s fate when she met Vesper, sadly bringing back sad memories to the surface. They help in other in Aurora and Merle’s name, and promise to help Vesper look for her mother once this is a done.
Minsc & Boo Family friend 2m03 / 6’8” Vesper has heard story of “THE Minsc and Boo” from her father’s mouth, but she imagined them completely differently from the truth. To be honest, she preferred his actual self to the heroic description books depicted him.
