“It is what it is.” — Tabata, at any given time of her life, to be honest.
Tabata Formenti of Orlais was a Scholar. After finishing her studies, she asked Brother Genitivi if she could be his assistant, displaying her skills: organisation, memory, observation, art… They travelled across Thedas to write some of his codexes, as she illustrated them. This made her more known in Orlais society, and although she was no noble, Empress Celene liked to invite her to her parties to commission art for the Winter Palace. More Orlesian nobles started commissioning her, but she always liked to travel, declining some of these work propositions for the sake of discovering and learning more about Thedas.
She doesn’t know how to fight but she often wields her cane and bonks bad people with it.
Although she studied in the Chantry, she doesn’t believe in the Maker, nor Andrasté. Which is probably the reason Ferdinand accepted Tab as assistant, for their different point of view, as he’s a strong believer. She still respect everyone’s faith, even though she believes in none in particular. Upon meeting more elves, she gets interested in their culture a lot more than the Andrastian stories she grew up with.
