Sulevin means “Purpose” in dalish. Her mother named her this way after her husband was taken away by templars when he asked for help for her delivery. Growing up without a father, she found that paternal love with her uncle instead. He taught her the ways of knives and daggers. How to hunt animals quickly so they don’t suffer.
She became Inquisitor at 21, still very young and ignorant about the world outside of the clan.
Her curiosity and interest for everything, books, old scrolls and forgotten knowledge made her closer to Dorian and Solas. The latter eventually fell in love, even if she felt something was “off” about him. When she learned the truth, Sulevin forgave him. But when he broke up with her, she felt betrayed. Even more when he just disappeared after defeating Corypheus, leaving her pregnant with his child. He continued to haunt her dreams, check on her from afar, but she didn’t want to face him. By Trespasser, she accepted to join Sera and become a Red Jenny, knowing the Inquisition days were coming to an end. If spies were infiltrating her ranks, she would retaliate with her own spies, too. Facing Solas by the end of Trespasser, she made sure he understood she wanted him to either stay, for real, or leave her and her son at peace, not knowing how long she could take that. That ultimatum was heartbroken for them, but Solas eventually left, keeping his promise.
By Veilguard, she raised Oliver — their son — with her wife, Sera. Sulevin’s love for Solas never truly faded, but the one towards her family is greater. She was relieved [**Calico Aldwir**](<https://loustica-lucia.notion.site/Calico-Aldwir-cd99266e9fab49e0b85a5594791d79d6>)(Rook) found a peaceful way to deal with him, allowing her to say a final goodbye.
