After spending a few years in a Chantry orphanage in Antiva City, he ran away when he heard the priests talking about sending him to a Circle of Magi when his magic manifested. For years he lived in the streets with other urchins, surviving on larceny, begging and squatting in unused places. When he learned how to control his fire, he began performing street shows. Eventually, he was recruited to join a travelling circus and explored the rest of Thedas with them. He met Sera and the Friends of Red Jenny after a performance in Orlais, when she tried to steal his company’s goods. They quickly became best friends and kept each other updated. His speciality was attracting attention, while his Friends picked the pockets of the richer audience. Alba was an acrobat, singer, musician, comedian and fighter. When he was performing in solo in Treviso, Viago de Riva spotted him. They talked a few times, and even dated for a few years. That’s when he became a Crow, joining his House. Since then, he’s been back and forth around Thedas, helping the Red Jennys, Antivan Crows and even the Inquisition when he could.

He was named like that due to his Vitiligo. It also means “dawn” in spanish (Alba is based on the french word Aube, that means Dawn, too) , with his golden hair shining like the sun itself or the flames he uses. |

The Carmine Crow	9:42 Dragon	When he became a Crow, he refused to let go of his fancy red, orange, yellow and black palette, despite most Crows trying their best to be discreet. It’s never been his forte. Showmanship, on the other hand… He loved to be seen, to feel seen.
Rook	9:50 Dragon	Varric called him Rook when they first got to play Wicket Grace and drank at a local tavern in Treviso.

Baba	Teia Cantori	She likes to tease him and treat him like a child, therfore Baba, the baby.
Rook	Varric Tethras	Canon title. I like to think it was a funny joke between them because Alba is very tall but pretty thin, so much he often gets mistaken for a woman, and a tower/Rook is large and tall. It’s a way they used to tease each other.
